We flash back to Michael's brief time with the Others and learn about how they persuaded him to return to the Oceanic survivors, and that means we spend a lot of time bemoaning Michael's tragic character arc. We're delighted to see Alex, grateful for Sayid, and a bit annoyed with Charlie.
